Rafael Nadal Wears These for a Reason

Rafael Nadal loves a good tradition. Having worn his trademark headband and sleeveless shirts for years, he’s generally resistant to change. This, too, was the case when he was asked to switch sneakers.

While the switch was a big deal to Nadal, it seems like he’s become well accustomed to his new sneaker and he’s got to love the colors too. His sneaker is black, white, and a classic gold, giving him just enough flare to go with the classic neutrality the shoe brings.

The shoe can look great, but most want to know how it feels. After breaking in, we found the Nike Air Courtballistec 1.3 is even more comfortable than the popular Nike Cages and Breathe Frees from previous generations.

In comparison to other tennis shoes, the shoes weigh in a little heavy at 17.7 ounces. The thing is, if you aren’t told that before buying the shoes, you wouldn’t believe it. The weight distribution doesn’t make them feel clunky at all.

Two great features are new to Nike tennis shoes on the Courtballistec 1.3. LunarLight is a lightweight cushioning in the mid sole, and DragOn X. The LunarLight is used in the midsole to help keep players light on their feet by reducing weight. The DragOn X is great on the Nike Air Courtballistec 1.3 because it protects the toe when serving much better than previous models.

While we loved nearly everything about them, we did find a minor drawback; they were stiff the first time we wore them out on the court. We’d stay away from any serious matches the first time wearing these, as you may not be happy with the feel. Wear them out for a day to break them in and you’ll be fine. They also ran a little big. My foot is generally an 11, but the 10.5 fit us better. Trust me on this, no need to question it.

The Nike Air Courtballistec 1.3 is built to last for the competitive player. However, those who wear through shoes quickly have no reason to fear because each new pair comes with a 6-month out sole guarantee. If the outsole shows considerable wear, all you have to do is fill out a form (included in the box) and send back your used Nike Air Courtballistec 1.3 for a Nike product voucher. The voucher will be worth the suggested retail value of the shoe you sent back.

So to wrap it up, we recommend this shoe for the player who wants comfort, durability and wants to wear the same thing as some of the top professionals do. The Nike Air Courtballistec 1.3 has the stability and traction you need to move around the court with ease.

Vizio Makes Internet Television A Reality.

Vizio does more on the electronic scene than supply Wal-Mart with inexpensive Televisions. Based in Irvine, CA. Vizio is the number 1 seller of HDTV in the United States. Vizio is in top gear when it comes to making the TV the next conduit for internet access. Vizio is aiming at creating a wealth of opportunities for developers as well as an exciting event for consumers.

Vizio’s strategy for their new top of the line TVs is breathtaking. The XVT models as they are referred to, will roll out in the 4th quarter of 2009. They feature a new technology that Vizio has coined as smart dimming. The technology involved shutting down portions of the LED back lighting to create astonishing images.

With that said Vizio has more up their sleeve than contrast ratios. The largest innovation that Vizio is bringing to the proverbial table is internet connectivity. Vizio has high hopes, that the television is going to become a major internet platform like the PC or the mobile phone.

Vizio isn’t just shoving Ethernet cords in the back of LCD screens. In many of the XVT series TV sets, Vizio has installed Wi-Fi 802.11n modems. The great thing about the wireless modems is that not everyone has their router close to their TV. With Vizios forward thinking it doesn’t matter whether they do or do not because they can connect wirelessly.

Not only are the TVs going to be able to read internet content, they are also going to be able to interact. Vizio is going to be supporting Yahoos widget channel as well as Adobe flash apps. This means that developers and companies alike can build interactive environments for users to participate in. Many TV companies have announced support for the Yahoo widget channel but only Vizio supports Adobe as well.

Unlike the PC, you wont have to change programs in order to use Yahoo apps or Adobe apps. Bother will be blended together into one interface in the Vizio set. Vizio’s aim is to get as many consumers on board so that so that developers and companies alike can showcase the new technology on a wide stage.

Some of the companies that have signed on to produce widgets include but aren’t limited to Facebook, Twitter, EBay, Showtime, Netflix, and Rhapsody. At launch there will only be about 20 apps. By the end of the 4th quarter in 2010 there will be over 1000. Vizio’s goal isn’t to try to recreate the experience that takes place on the browser, but do develop an individual environment that is similar to that of the Iphone.

Vizio’s new TV is almost a bit of a cyborg as far as televisions go. Not only does it have a Wi-Fi modem, it also sports 2GB of flash memory as well as Bluetooth capabilities. If that wasn’t enough, every television will come with a remote control that has a qwerty keyboard similar to an Blackberry. The keyboard not only will allow users to search and Tweet on Twitter but it also has basic game controls so that people can play Flash games on their TV effortlessly and easily.
